Fundacion Biosbot Robotica

We are TEAM BIOSBOT COLOMBIA, a robotics club with a perspective of opportunity and inclusion. Our mission is to promote, within the framework of an inclusive culture, creativity, research and technological innovation talent of children and young people, from a pedagogical model of learning to design and program robots, in a playful way, with the support of technology, engineering and mathematics. Our inclusive culture allows us to integrate children with special educational needs (asperger's, autism) with neuro-typical children, allowing us to widely develop not only the social skills of our children, but also to teach that we all learn from our differences and that society must take another look. Our main program is social inclusion, teaching all children and adolescents, with or without characteristics of inclusion, to share, learn and understand the characteristics and individual needs, developing and promoting spaces and scenarios of group acceptance, teamwork, competition, research and robotics programming, thus improving their social interaction, self-concept and development of 21st century skills. In parallel to the process of social inclusion, we design strategies and skills in programming and skills in programming and mechanics of robots, under the LEGO ROBOTICS model. This learning program is aimed at children and adolescents from 3 to 18 years old. This project began 4 years ago, during which time we have been able to reach different reached different locations in Bogota, allowing us to transform lives. The result of working on this project for 4 years and growing with children, young people and their families, led us to occupy 1st place in the national championship of FIRST LEGO LEAGUE COLOMBIA 2022 "Cargo Connect", season 2021-2022. Teaching robotics to BUILD better human beings!!!
